I've had the Superlux HD661 for several years now and I love them. Superlux makes really nice budget-friendly headphones and these are my favorite. They're solidly made and are perfect for tossing into your backpack when on the go (they come with a nice soft red bag to carry them in). I'm not worried about them getting jostled and breaking like other more expensive / delicate cans.SOUND: Good! The sound is excellent for the price point, comparable to what I hear from $100+ headphones that I own (Bose AE2 and Incase Sonic). Hook these up to a headphone amp (like a FiiO) and be blown away. But if you're seriously searching for audiophile-quality sound, do your homework and look elsewhere.LOOKS: Good! They're different from the ocean of Beats headphones you usually see people wearing, especially if you're on a college campus like me. They're fairly big, but certainly not ostentatious. They have a nice glossy finish and if you shop around they come in some other fun colors. I like wearing these on the commute because they fit comfortably over baseball or winter caps while still looking nice. The headphone band is fixed in place and not adjustable in the traditional sense - size / fit adjustment comes from the flexible "wings" at the top of the band. I actually like this feature since I think headphones with expandable bands (like what you see with Bose, Beats, etc.) look kinda stupid and I always have to fiddle around with them to get the right fit. Consider what your personal preferences are.COMFORT: Your Mileage May Vary. These headphones are heavier than others. The weight comes from the solid plastic material these are made from. This makes them very durable but also gives them extra weight. You will feel this as you wear them, especially with the placement of the flexible wings at the top of the band. If you're someone who is sensitive to this sort of thing, these might not be the headphones for you. I personally like the way these feel and am not at all bothered by the weight. But others might be. They have a nice closed-ear design that helps block out ambient noise and the pads become softer as you wear them.If you're looking for an affordable, nice sounding pair of headphones with a different look from the usually options, give the Superlux HD661 a try!
