I couldn't be happier with this purchase. I'm a gamer but I hate big, heavy, bulky headsets and I have a stand mic so I was simply looking for lightweight, high quality audio and preferably a cute design. These are very good quality for the price. I can hear all the noises, including bass, clearer than I could with my actual gaming headset. They're so light on my head and because they're on-ear instead of over the ears, my glasses don't get crushed into the side of my head which gets very uncomfortable. Bonus is they're foldable. I use them for PC gaming but can just as easily take them on a trip. Can't imagine why these were discontinued!I payed 30$ for these in '21 and they lasted as much as 30$ worth before the earmufs fell out. I do like them, great for travel comfy and sleek but not worth 80$ jeez.I was very hesitant about purchasing this product, given the negative reviews posted here. Out of the box I discovered the headband was not adjustable and the headphones were tight on my head. But, when I realized that the headphones are adjusted to your head with the earcups, I found a very comfortable fit. The fit is snug and the sound isolation is good but you can still hear sounds in the room. After listening to various music, I found the sound spectrum balanced with a punchy but not overpowering base. The headphones reproduce the recorded sound very good, if the recording was muddy I heard muddy music. If the recording was crisp and clear, that’s what I heard. I listened to music from both Apple and amazon music services. I have owned other Sennheiser products, including px100’s. This product is a winner for me and continues the fine tradition of sennheiser headphones. The only negative for me is that the volume control is right next to the earcup.I’ve purchased 3 pairs of these for my wife. She uses them for watching movies on her iPad. So far, 2 pair have had the cables fall apart at the headphone jack.It would’ve been nice to have a detachable cable but I knew they didn’t when purchasing them. I did not, however, expect such cheap cables from Sennheiser. My Momentums are amazing. I guess there’s a reason these were recently discontinued.I have always felt that Sennheiser makes the best headphones for the money, and this pair has continued to justify that opinion. The sound on these is great, they actually rival my much larger (and more expensive) HD-280s I have never purchased a bad Sennheiser product, and this is no exception. I am really in love with these headphones. They are a replacement for my Sennheiser PX-200 ii headphones which I have had for over 3 years now. These HD2.30G headphones are SUBSTANTIALLY more comfortable to wear, and the sound quality is equal if not better than the PX-200's.The thing that always annoyed me with the PX-200 was the volume control because it was always resting right where I always wanted to rest my left hand on my desk. I do not have that same problem with these HD2.30G headphones because the volume control is right up near my head and the headphones, and combined with the longer cord these HD2.30G headphones provide, it is a much more pleasurable experience chilling out listening to music with these headphones than it was with the PX-200; and with literally all the other headphones I have experience with.Update (purchased August 2017, update September 2018): they still are rocking and are still very comforitable after over a year later, which is amazing. Usually the foam will start to deteriorate by now but it's still like new for me except for some discoloration from skin oils. The only issue I had was the cord started to start to pull out of where it connects to the headphones because I regularly drop the headphones and accidently yank on the cord, but I got some gorilla hotglue sticks and a hotglue gun to reinforce the connection of the cord up into the headphone and that has held super solid for a long time now. The sound quality didn't even degrade while the cord was pulled out a bit.Decent headphones but with one major flaw. The audio jack connection is very, very weak so if you happen to drop your device while these are plugged into it, and said device lands on the audio jack - then it's curtains unfortunately. Likewise if you have these in your pocket whilst walking, the jack will eventually loosen and audio will be partially/fully lost. I have had two pairs of these broken in this way in 9 months and I am someone who very rarely breaks their electronic goods. These suffer where other headphones of mine have had absolutely no issue.Sennheiser do not offer spare cables for this model - they do so for seemingly every pair of headphones they've made apart from these ones. This is despite the fact that the cable is detachable and is unique to this model - you can't use anything generic, it has to be Sennheiser's own, and it has to be for the 2.30. Customer service didn't even know which pair of headphones I was referring to when I spoke to them about this - not even the previous HD 2.10 or 2.20 versions. If you break the cable, you'll have to get the whole thing replaced. Something to consider before buying.Would personally recommend keeping these for indoor use if you do buy them.Nearly two years on and used every day to listen to audiobooks and music on an Amazon Kindle, the jack cable has become very twisted and the insulation started to break up near the headphones, a quick phone call to Sennheiser and found that they are under a two year warranty, Sennheiser customer services arranged for a replacement cable part number 507223 to be sent out FOC, this arrived in two days from the phone call.Great to see a no quibble customer service in this day and age.Cable very short. Not the best headphones to wear when it is hot. Not near as good as the Sennheiser PX 100-II.Great sound quality, light and comfortable.Fantastic for commuting! These are really comfortable with a great sound.
